Hateful Things

To be honest, I didn’t get much from the Jim Crowe Museum video. not only have i seen it before, taking away the shock value, but i have a tendancy to not be racist. I have many black friends, and I truely think the guy that set that up has an unusual obsession with racism.

It’s funny to think about how, when we think of racism, our minds go to white people being racist against blacks. but in this day and age, i think more emphasis should be put on the other types of racism that happen. Nobody seems to realize how racist most people are toward Mexicans. Not to mention most blacks are extremely racist against whites. And with the advent of 911, most of the US hates middle easterners, and I’m sure the rest of the world has a lowered opinion of them.

On another note, though, items such as “Ghettopoly” and that t-shirt with the group of dumb-looking cartoon black people would probably be embraced by black culture in general, rather than disgraced. speaking from experience, most of the black people i see are proud that they live in a horrible, run-down neighborhood selling drugs. And keeping a huge stash of unmarked bills and as many slutty women as possible around is the definition of the high life.

While this does refer to an ethnic subculture and not an entire race, in today’s world that’s all racism against blacks is. An example is how you wouldn’t think a black person is “just a dumb nigger” if they were properly groomed and dressed, and didn’t look like he just got done taking another hit of his drug of choice. in this way, it’s relatively easy to spot who fits within the subculture and who might actually be respectable. It’s the same way with white people too, only the term is “wigger” instead of “nigger” because black culture is what idealises that lifestyle, so “wiggers” are often called fake because their black counterparts are the original “hood niggas”.
